Ketchikan - Another event in
celebration of the Tongass National Forest Centennial was the
Ranger Boat Roundup which was held on Monday and Tuesday. The
Roundup featured all five Forest Service Ranger vessels hosting
open houses at Thomas Basin. The classic and contemporary boats
from the fleet that made land management history in the Tongass
Forest paraded from Bar Harbor to Thomas Basin where they were
docked for the open houses.
