This Double Irish Chain will be given to Judy Madden's grand-daughter
Kayleigh for her birthday next month and added to her collection
of calendar quilts. Judy Madden has been making for birthdays
and Christmas for the past few years. Made in January 2003. 19

Teune wrote that she likes using beads, so instead of ribbon
embroidery as called for in the pattern, she used beads. 16 x

a Little Crazy (innovative, pieced, hand quilted)
Quilt Owner and Maker: Lindley Gifford
Gifford's other crazy quilt has 16" squares, this one has
2" squares. Gifford wrote that she really enjoyed working
on the small scale. The embellishments are all done by hand.

This quilt is 1/3 the size of the original pattern. Judy Madden
wrote that she enjoys reducing patterns and generally likes the
miniature version better than the original. Made summer 2001.
