Six students formed the Schoenbar Jr. High School team that competed in Saturday's competition coached by weight lifter and teacher Kevin Johnson. Adjustment totals placed Graham Seibel as the team's top lifter at a combined total of 653 pounds.

Michael Bruce of the Schoenbar team broke the K-High deadlift record in the 220 pound weight division lifting 320 pounds on his third lift.
Trevor Eubanks of the Schoenbar team made a new high school record in his weight class of 198 pounds, lifting 215 pounds during the squat lift. He also broke his previous K-High record in the bench press lifting 165 pounds.
Eighteen year old Taylor Gregg from K-High took second place in the meet lifting combined weights totaling 630 pounds. Gregg also broke several of the K-High records competing in the 123 pound women's weight division. Gregg broke her previously set record for deadlift, lifting 195 pounds.
Adult lifters in the men's division were impressive with their flawless lifts. Pat Stack and Tom Wolford improved their personal best totals for combined weight, with Stack lifting a total of 1205 pounds.
Tom Wolford's combined total
was 1170. While Stack and Wolford broke no records during this
meet they showed they are up and coming with impressive lifts
during the deadlift portion of 500 for Stack and 440 for Wolford.
