Quilting In The
Rain XII
"Quilting in the Rain
XII" will be open to the public free, on February 15, from
10 am to 8 pm and on February 16, from 12 to 4:00 pm on the 2nd
floor of The Plaza. This year's event promises to be bigger than
last year's show, which displayed over 200 beautiful, locally
made quilts to more than 600 visitors. Last year's "Best
of Show" quilt, entered by Annette Hansen, went on to win
first place at the Alaska State Fair.
Another special attraction
of the show this year is the Show Raffle Quilt.
The drawing for the Raffle
will take place on February 16th, at the end of the annual Quilt
Show. Proceeds from the Raffle are used to promote new learning
opportunities for the members and to further the numerous Community
Service activities in which the Guild participates.
