2 outs. Casey Bass struck out 8 Maynards hitters and walked 4. The Ketchikan Merchants had 3 runs on 4 hits and left 7 men on base. Maynards pitching struck out 5 Merchants hitters. Bass said, "A well played game with Maynards committing one error and Ketchikan committing two errors. Both teams hustled and made several great plays." Bass said, "Maynards is a Connie Mack select team of 17 year olds from Everett so we played a good game against an older team."

The final score game one: Maynards 8 - Ketchikan Merchants 3.

In game two against the Maynards, Matt Way pitched for Ketchikan and also did a fine job giving up 5 runs on 4 hits according to Bass. Way had 7 walks and 6 bases on balls but Way gave up only 2 earned runs - 3 runs coming with 2 outs after an error. The Ketchikan Merchants had 5 hits, 2 runs and left 9 on base. Maynards' pitching only struck out 4. Bass reported the Ketchikan Merchants had the lead in the 2nd when the Maynards got their 5 runs. After that Way and the Ketchikan Merchants defense tightened up to keep them scoreless said Bass.

The final score game two: Maynards 5 - Ketchikan Merchants 2.
