The Alaska Discovery Center will have a special presentation in conjunction with the "Behold the Bead" exhibit at the Mainstay Gallery during the month of April.

"The Beaded Shoe" will intrigue and inspire your creativity, and expand your ideas of what bead art is! This show began as a challenge to bead artists across the country to either adorn a shoe with beadwork or create a representation of a shoe from beads. The resulting collection of approximately 80 works has traveled to museums and galleries across the country, and now has been made into a traveling slide show by Interweave Press to expand the exposure. The photography is exquisite, and the creations are a joy to behold! If you are inspired to add another obsession to your life, the curators of the "Behold the Bead" exhibit will be on hand to answer questions and guide you to local classes and resources.
This program is free and open to the public.

This program will be held at the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center Theater.
